Can i put this in the microwave or dishwasher?

Yes. Everything I make is microwave and dishwasher safe, with the exception of magnets (don’t microwave magnets) or pots with gold luster (this is a more delicate material, and also a metal). Functional wares are meant to be used often, not saved for special occasions or requiring special treatment. That said, hand washing may prolong their usable life, if like me you are prone to breaking things when loading/unloading a dishwasher. 

Do you do custom work?

Occasionally. Send me your idea at hello@uphillpottery.com and please don’t be offended if it isn’t a good fit for me.

I’m more likely to say yes if it is a special order for items I already make (e.g. a set of mugs or dinner plates).

I bought something. Can I return it?

Sometimes. If you’ve bought something from a store carrying my work, this is a question for them.

If you’ve ordered a pot from my online store or my Etsy site, I accept returns within 2 weeks of purchase, pending their safe arrival back to me. Return shipping is at your own expense unless the item arrived damaged or I sent you the wrong thing. Communication is key!

why uphill?

Two reasons:

• My home is at the top of a short but very steep hill.

• Throwing clay on the wheel has a steep learning curve! It’s also a lifelong effort to build my relationship with clay, how I work with it, and what this means for the pots I make.
